CLEAN WATER SOLUTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPING WORLD ROUNDTABLE

The Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and
Global Water Challenge (GWC)

Invite you to attend

Clean Water Solutions for the Developing World Roundtable
Part of the See full size imageWorld Challenges Roundtable Series

Hosted by
Sustainable Products & Solutions Program at the Center for Responsible Business

Event Dates
Wednesday, October 28th (noon-9pm) & Thursday, October 29th (8am-5pm), 2009

Event Location
Wells Fargo Room, 4th Floor Cheit Building
Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley

Background
A multitude of technologies are available for cleaning water and making it safe for human consumption.  Close to one billion people lack access to safe drinking water.  The roundtable seeks to bring together corporations, NGOs, academics and foundations interested in an action-oriented, solutions based approach to marrying water purification technology with sustainable business models. The roundtable intends to examine how to get the most appropriate technology using the best business model to sustain clean water delivery for a given situation now and into the future.

Expected Outcomes
This event is truly intended to be a roundtable in which a limited number of participants (~40) come to interact and share experiences, both good and bad.   We will share best practices and discuss how best to move forward in delivering safe drinking water in a sustained manner to the maximum number of people.
